Just wanted to take a sec to inform you of the newest feature over to the upper left hand corner of the blog. "Enter the Blog Circle" will be an easy access way for you to check in on each other's blogs and post comments on one anothers posts. Remember to get comments you must post often and post thought provoking/challenging/engaging/resoursful material! Or just your rambling thoughts! If you would like to "Enter" into the Blog Circle...email me at wayofthepastor@comcast.net or just post a comment a whole bunch of times and we will give you an honorary membership into the BC (blog circle). Remember also guys that this is a great way to get each other to think and provide different opinions and angles to a wide variety of topics. Use this blog as a way to grow, build, strengthen, and support one another through fellowship, accountability, and blogability....? IS that a word? One of the worst things a Christian can do is sit on the bench with no backbone and with no defense as to why they believe what they believe! As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another! Throwing another log on the blog fire!

So you know... I'm going to throw some podcasts from our church into my talkshoe. There is a series on parenting that we are having, and I would love for you guys to hear it. Some very challenging stuff. More to come! Joe,... thank you for the desires of your heart! I Tim 3:1 says, "It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do." I love that you desire to do what you do!
ReplyDeleteIt's exciting to be a part of the blog circle. I'm looking forward to the "Unchristian" book discussion. I have a sneaky suspiscion (I have yet to read the book either) that a distinction needs to be made between the Church being authentic and the Church catering to the culture, potentially watering down the Gospel which is obviously not acceptable.
